Had stopped by Kawaguchiko after work one day to take a few shots of Fuji at dusk. Learned from the other photogs hanging around that it was the last day of the Kawaguchi Lake Winter Fireworks Display. It was 5:30pm and they fireworks didn't start until 8pm. I stuck around. It was good fun as I don't often shoot fireworks but was a little bit out of my depth.

I had struck up a conversation with another photographer before the event started as we were all just hanging out in the cold waiting. He gave me a few pointers and I did a little research online as well, so I am really excited that it turned out as well as it did. I'm not much of a fireworks photog but would like to go back and definitely try again....especially since I know a good location to shoot from now too!

You may have been a little out of your depth but you definitly have talent (I've just run into you here on Shadowness so haven't looked at your bio yet so...). I've tried and failed many times at firework photography. This one is just perfect~♪
