Liking the Rubaiyat as you do, I suggest you check out a friend of mine's work http://himmapaan.deviantart.com/ He is an illistrator, and has done the illistrations for a Limited Edition of the book.

  I already follow him on Deviant Art. Admire his work beyond measure, and told my oldest brother about him. My brother then went and purchased the folio book. Himmapaan is one of the best artists around today, and doing what I originally set out to do...which is illustrate books. That said, I have had a very good life sculpting for the Vegas Hotels, working on panels for Private Jets...always learning a new skill, and having an artistic adventurous life that I didn't plan or expect. I love Himmapaan's work, and if you count him a friend you are a fortunate man. He is a fine draftsman, great colorist, and handles watercolor, line, composition, and design with great skill, craftmanship, and genius.

  I have to agree with you on Niroot being one of the finest illustrator/artists around today. Just wish I could have afforded the Folio book.

  http://houseofchabrier.deviantart.com/ I can't afford the Red Fairy Book...but it's the one I want. He is an incredible artist, and the best of all the Folio artists. I also love his dinosaur illustrations. His work is like individual, perfect jewels. I'm doing a watercolor of the cut little girl in lavender you took pictures of. I think you will like it!

I agree with you, and such eyes. They have such a look in this picture. I marvel at the photos EarthHart takes. I wish I had so many more of this man. Looking up, down, full figure...there are just some people who walk this earth, and need to be drawn, painted, sculpted...just because they are here. Thank you!
